Steven Curtis Chapman is finally able to sing his song 'Cinderella' again. Chapman wrote the song, his current hit, just months before his 5-year-old daughter, Maria, was killed in a tragic accident last May.

Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, were on 'Good Morning America' Wednesday to talk about how the family is healing after the accident that took their daughter's life. She was accidentally hit by an SUV driven by her brother, Will, when he turned down the driveway to their home in Franklin, Tenn.

'Cinderella' was written about Chapman's daughters, to remind him to appreciate each moment he had with his girls before they grew up. After the accident, he thought he would never be able to sing it again, but the words have now taken on even more meaning for the singer/songwriter.

"I thought, you know what, I've got to sing this song," Chapman told GMA's Robin Roberts. "I have to sing it because I have to continue. These chapters that are still being written with my two little girls, Shaohannah and Stevey Joy, and my older daughter Emily, who is getting ready to be married ... I need to be dancing with my Cinderellas."

Maria was one of three daughters whom the Chapmans adopted from China. She had a heart defect when she was a baby. So the family is now establishing a home in China for orphaned special needs kids like Maria. For more information on how you can help their charity, visit the Shaohannah's Hope website.
