Through the magic of technology, crooner Michael Bublé and country megastar Shania Twain have joined forces from opposite corners of the globe to record a new version of a holiday classic.

The pair's bouncy take on 'White Christmas' will appear on Michael's 'Christmas' album, due out next week. In the teaser video below, the retro-pop master explains how he and Shania connected via Skype to record the duet. Although she was in Switzerland and he was in California, they were able to see and hear each other, and they emerged with what he deems "a fresh, new take" on the yuletide standard.

"Talk about a virtual duet," Michael says.

The track was produced by David Foster, who also worked with Shania on her recent comeback single, 'Today Is Your Day.'

"She's back now, and she sounds better than ever," David says.
