The Secret Sisters are sharing a little secret, and let's just say we hope their mom doesn't read The Boot.

"I am going to get a tattoo for my birthday!" singer Laura Rogers, who turns 25 on April 5, tells The Boot. "Don't tell my mom! I have been thinking about it for some time. If you look at our record (artwork) there's a logo that T Bone Burnett created for us of two little girls holding hands. That's what I'd get."

Laura can't face the needle on her home turf if she wants to get inked on her actual birthday, as she and sister Lydia will be in Philadelphia opening for Amos Lee on April 5. The siblings' busy tour schedule also includes stints with Loretta Lynn, Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne and Brandi Carlile. Of course, they're not complaining! The angelic-voiced sisters are thrilled to be so in demand, following the recent release of their self-titled album that Burnett executive produced.

"I have been making music for over forty years and The Secret Sisters' album is as close to pure as it gets," says Burnett. "Listening to the Secret Sisters sing, you hear in their voices a sound that is timeless and of the moment. You hear the history of rural American music from the 1920's and a reverence for every musical genre this country has produced. Popular music requires the absolute honesty of the Secret Sisters, and I'm thrilled to be involved in presenting them to the world."

Laura's tattoo would not only be a symbol of the Secret Sisters but also a tribute to Burnett.

"He created that for us. It's kind of a marker of this journey," she says of the image she plans immortalize on her body ... or will she? "Oh, I probably won't do it!" admits Laura with a smile, exercising a woman's right to change her mind.

It's OK, Laura. We won't tell your mom! Honest!

The Secret Sisters' next scheduled concert is March 29 in Ann Arbor, Mich. For more concert information, check here.
