What's Russell Dickerson listening to? The playlist that the rising country singer curated for The Boot features both his heroes and his friends.

After launching with his own single "Blue Tacoma," Dickerson's playlist includes Hootie & the Blowfish, the Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain. Dickerson says Twain was his "first crush" -- and, all these years later, he still loves "You're Still the One."

"When "Any Man of Mine" came out, I remember seeing the album cover, in fourth grade, and my jaw hit the floor," Dickerson recalls to The Boot, "and I was smitten ever since. That was the day Russell Dickerson became a man."

On Dickerson's playlist, listeners will also find Thomas Rhett's "Die a Happy Man," Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" and Canaan Smith's "Love You Like That;" Dickerson came up in Nashville with those artists, and they've remained friends and collaborators. He also included some heroes -- Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and more -- on his playlist.

""Something Like That" by Tim McGraw is one of those evergreen songs for me," Dickerson shares. "Hearing this song for the first time as a young teenager, this was one of the first songs I remember connecting to, like, 'Man, I want a love like this one day' -- just the longing to feel that way about someone, lose them, then reconnect with them years later is a super-romantic concept that I’m totally a sucker for!"

Dickerson's 30-plus-song playlist features more than two hours of music. Press play below to get a listen.
