Blake Shelton will be making his movie acting debut in Adam Sandler's The Ridiculous 6 in December. The film's first trailer has been released, and country music fans will be able to spot Shelton -- albeit, looking a little different.

The country superstar will play gambler/lawman Wyatt Earp in the movie, which was co-written and produced by Adam Sandler. About 30 seconds into the trailer, which you can watch above, Shelton appears, dressed in all black and sporting a wide-brimmed hat and one epic mustache.

The Ridiculous 6 is a comedic take on Western films such as The Magnificent 7. Sandler plays a man who was an orphan and grew up in an Indian tribe. In addition to the Hollywood funnyman and Shelton, the film's cast list includes Vanilla Ice, Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider and Dan Akroyd, among others. The movie is Sandler’s first release as part of a new deal with Netflix.

During filming in April, a few Native American extras walked off the set of The Ridiculous 6, calling the script offensive and saying that it perpetuates negative stereotypes. Still, others defended Sandler's new film, including Bonifacio Gurule, an extra who tells KOAT 7 that people should “lighten up” and that “It’s a comedy, not a documentary."

The Ridiculous Six will be Shelton's film debut, but country fans know that he can act, as he proved in January when he made his debut as the host of Saturday Night Live. He appeared in six of the night’s eight sketches.

The Ridiculous 6 will premiere on Dec. 11 exclusively on Netflix.
