Renegade Radio Nashville has been named Radio Station of the Year 2013 by the ICMA (Independent Country Music Association). The groundbreaking online station, which blends a mix of country music superstars with new and independent artists, earned 56% of the votes by members of the ICMA to claim the title.

"We work hard to support the independent side of country music and are so honored that others have noticed," Captain Jack Aponte, host and co-owner of Renegade Radio Nashville, says in a press release. "There's so much talent that has yet to be discovered -- we love our daily opportunities to expose that talent to our listeners and, hopefully, give that artist a shot at significant fan base growth. We're so thankful to fellow ICMA members for choosing us as Radio Station of the Year."

Renegade Radio Nashville began broadcasting in June of 2011. In December of that year it became the first-ever country internet radio station to be granted reporting status with Music Row magazine. The station has listeners from 143 different countries, as well as from all 50 states. Listen online here.
