Rascal Flatts performed a second song for 'CMA Country Christmas' on Monday night (Dec. 2).

The trio reminded viewers of spiritual reason for the holiday, with the gospel tune, 'Strange Way to Save the World.' Jay DeMarcus kicked off the song, singing the opening lines from a grand piano, before lead singer Gary LeVox took over, followed by Joe Don Rooney.

In addition to the song being a stand-out performance because of the addition of DeMarcus and Rooney on lead vocals, the emotional lyrics were effortlessly delivered by the three men, who seemed to understand the reverent mood the song required.

The Flatts released a four-song holiday EP in 2009, 'Unwrapped,' which is available for purchase here.
