After a quarter-century in the music business, Randy Travis is entitled to a bit of celebrating. On Oct. 4, the country superstar will join a host of famous friends (and fans) onstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where he's been a member since 1986.

Among those slated to honor Randy are Carrie Underwood, Gene Watson, Joe Stampley and Connie Smith. Highlights of the concert will be included in an episode of the GAC series 'Opry Live' set to debut on Oct. 15.

"Randy's impact on country music over the past 25 years is evident both in the array of celebrated artists who have joined him on this acclaimed anniversary album as well those who will be accompanying him on the Opry stage next month," reports Opry vice president Pete Fisher. "It will be a great show, celebrating the legacy of a truly special artist."

"It is a great honor to join the Opry, GAC, and the many wonderful artists who have become friends in helping me celebrate 25 years of music. I am thankful for you and all the fans of country music," says Randy, a perennial hitmaker whose most recent CD, 'Anniversary Celebration,' features duets with the likes of Brad Paisley, Kristin Chenoweth, Don Henley and the Zac Brown Band.
