RaeLynn is coming back to the show that gave the country dynamo her start! On Tuesday's (Dec. 11) episode of "The Voice," the former Team Blake member will make the live television debut of her very first radio single, "Boyfriend," which she co-wrote with fellow Season 2 contestants, Nicole Galyon and Hailey Steele.

"I'm nervous, because it's my debut single," RaeLynn tells The Boot. "But I'm also super excited, because on the show (last season) I got to show my rock-country side but I didn't get to show my original stuff. So it's going to be so cool to sing a song that I wrote and really showcase who I am as an artist."

Don't be fooled by the song's chorus of "I want your boyfriend" -- it's not as sassy as it sounds. The mid-tempo tune is actually a bit of a heartache song.

"I was like, 'Is it just me, or have y'all ever wanted to steal somebody's boyfriend -- but not in a bad way?'" the 18-year-old star recalls of the writing session for "I Want Your Boyfriend." "I wrote it about my best friend -- he was dating all these other girls except me, and I'm like, 'What about me?'"

RaeLynn made it to the Top 10 on Season 2 of "The Voice," with Blake Shelton -- someone she still counts as a mentor and close friend -- as her coach. Within just weeks of the show's finale, she scored a deal with Republic Nashville, also home to Martina McBride, the Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Sunny Sweeney and Greg Bates. Her debut album for the label is tentatively due in the summer. In the meantime, the Texas native is settling down in her new Nashville home and getting to know the city.

"I love it here; it's awesome. But I'm the only one here who drives a truck!" she says with a laugh, when we ask if anything about Music City has surprised her. "I thought there would be more trucks here, but it's just me and Dierks Bentley, I guess!"
