The Pistol Annies' harmonies are a perfect fit for Elvis Presley's "Love Me." The country trio pulled off a sublime version of the song during Sunday night's (Feb. 17) Elvis All-Star Tribute TV special; readers can press play above to watch a snippet of the performance.

Written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, "Love Me" was originally recorded by R&B duo Willy and Ruth in the mid-1950s, then covered by a number of other acts. None of the versions was a hit, however, until Presley released the song on his sophomore album, Elvis, in 1956. Although it was never a single, Presley's version of the song hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a Top 10 hit on the R&B charts as well.

Sunday night's Elvis All-Star Tribute was a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Presley's '68 Comeback Special, the iconic TV event that revitalized the King of Rock and Roll's career. In addition to the Pistol Annies, the Elvis All-Star Tribute also featured performances from Carrie UnderwoodKeith Urban, Darius Rucker, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, and Dierks BentleyBlake Shelton hosted the evening, and also performed.

While the country genre brought serious star power, artists of all stripes turned out to honor Presley: Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran and many others also took the stage during the event. During the show, the audience was also treated to a showcase of rare footage and interviews with Presley's widow, Priscilla Presley, along with Steve Binder, who was the director of the original special. The iconic performer's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, also made an appearance.
