Parmalee have premiered the video for their latest single, 'Close Your Eyes.'

“It’s all about that first kiss,”  lead singer Matt Thomas says of the song. “I think everybody remembers where they were with that special girl or guy and they went in for that first kiss.”

The video, directed by award-winning director Wes Edwards ('Drunk on a Plane,' 'Night Train'), captures the essence of the song by showing the band, and their gorgeous female companions, enjoying the warm summer day, complete with a lengthy handmade water slide, adult beverages, and a non-stop party.

The song is the third single from their Top 5 'Feels Like Carolina' album, but the band admit the song almost didn't make it onto the album.

"Right before we finished recording, I got a copy of this from a friend of mine," Thomas recalls to The Boot. "I listened to the song three times in a row, and usually that tells you that there’s something in that song right there. And when I heard the lyrics and the melody line, I was like, ‘Man, this is perfect.’ The feel of it was what we needed on the record. It’s just one of those songs that I just had to listen to over and over again, and those are the ones you grab up, if you get the opportunity to do it ... This song was one of those dark horses, I guess you’d call it, that made the record in the last minute."

July has been off to a great start for the foursome. In addition to debuting their latest video, they were also nominated for a Teen Choice Award, for Choice Country Group. The Teen Choice Awards, which are fan-voted, will air live on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 8PM ET on Fox. Vote for Parmalee here.

Parmalee are spending the summer serving as the opening act on Jake Owen's Days of Gold Tour, as well as headlining several of their own shows. See a complete list of their upcoming concerts here.
