Congratulations to Parmalee's Barry Knox: He's engaged!

Knox, who plays bass in the four-man group, which also includes his cousins Matt Thomas and Scott Thomas, as well as friend Josh McSwain, shared the good news on the band's social media accounts on Tuesday (Sept. 29).

"We're getting hitched!!" Knox writes. "Kristin Joyner has completely changed my life. She's the coolest, smartest, most bada-- girl I've ever met. She moved with me to Nashville and stuck by me through all the struggles, and I know I couldn't have done it without her!!"

Knox tells Star magazine that he proposed to Joyner "on her favorite ski slope in Virginia," while they were skiing -- so the engagement happened, at the earliest, this past winter.

"I didn't get down on one knee," Knox explains. "We were going down her favorite slope, and I stopped her in the middle, and I got down on on ski, and I said, 'Would you marry me?'"

Knox also tells Star that he and Joyner have set a wedding date of Oct. 15, 2016.

Joyner, who also goes by "KJ," according to her Instagram account, is a videographer, director video, editor and graphic artist. She owns Caged Films and has previously worked on video content and graphics for artists such as Montgomery Gentry, Randy Travis and Dolly Parton, among others.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
