Now that the nominees have been announced for the 2013 CMA Awards, it looks like the category of Musical Event of the Year is going to be hard-fought.

Blake Shelton brought Pistol Annies in for 'Boys 'Round Here,' while Florida Georgia Line set new chart records after collaborating with rapper Nelly on 'Cruise.' Kelly Clarkson teamed up with the legendary Vince Gill for 'Don't Rush.'

Not to be outdone, Tim McGraw invited Taylor Swift and Keith Urban for 'Highway Don't Care.' Jason Aldean had Luke Bryan and Eric Church join him for 'The Only Way I Know.'
