Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, Kid Rock Added to Walk of Fame
Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, Ernest Tubb, Kid Rock and Tootsie Bess (the late owner of Nashville's famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge) are being immortalized on the Music City Walk of Fame. A special ceremony will be held this Sunday, Nov. 8, in Nashville to welcome the 2009 inductees.
The Music City Walk of Fame was created in 2006 as a tribute to musicians of all genres who have made significant contributions to the music industry. Located on Nashville's Music Mile, it honors inductees with granite star-and-guitar sidewalk markers. Among those included on the walk are Elvis Presley, Reba McEntire, Ronnie Milsap, Roy Orbison, Hank Williams, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, Wynonna, Michael W. Smith, Barbara Mandrell, Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell and Jimi Hendrix.
