Miranda Lambert Remembers Her First Time
It’s been a big year for Miranda Lambert, scoring her first No. 1 hit with ‘White Liar’ and also taking the prize for Top Female Vocalist and Album of the Year at the ACM Awards. After opening for the likes of Keith Urban, George Strait, Dierks Bentley and Toby Keith, she’s now taking hitting the concert circuit in her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour as headliner instead of the opening act.
So where was the ‘Nashville Star’ alum when she heard her very first single on the radio six years ago?
I was in Dallas driving to the airport [in 2004], and I heard it,” Miranda tells The Boot. “The song was ‘Me and Charlie Talking.’ I almost didn’t think it was on the radio. I thought there was a CD in because I kind of forgot I had one out. But it was definitely an exciting moment. I think all of us in the car screamed!”
