Miranda Lambert is coming to Thanksgiving ... well, kind of. The country star is one of the musical acts who will take the stage during CBS' Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS TV special this year.

Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS is a three-hour live broadcast that features performances and portions of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. In addition to Lambert, the Los Angeles Times reports, viewers will also be treated to performances by Sting and the casts of the the Broadway musicals The Color PurpleOn Your Feet! and School of Rock.

CBS' Thanksgiving Day Parade special is set to begin at 9AM ET on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 24); Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight will host the event. Complete coverage of the 90th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, meanwhile, will air live on NBC. Brett Eldredge, Kelsea Ballerini, Easton Corbin and Maddie & Tae will all be performing at the big event, which also begins at 9AM ET.

On Friday (Nov. 18), Lambert will release a new album, The Weight of These Wings. She recently announced a new single from the project, "We Should Be Friends."
