Mickey Gilley is earning a whole new fan base as host of his TV show, 'Gilley's Place.'

The variety show, which airs on RFD-TV, has already scored a star-studded lineup this season, including upcoming appearances by Mel Tillis, the Oak Ridge Boys, Tony Orlando, Linda Davis, Rhonda Vincent and Neal McCoy.

“It’s been a lot of fun getting to visit with friends on 'Gilley’s Place' and catch up on their lives and careers," Gilley says. "We’ve filled it with interviews and music from some of the best performers in the world. I hope my fans will enjoy watching the show as much as we’ve enjoyed making it."

The show is filmed at Gilley's Texas Cafe in Branson, Mo., in front of a live studio audience. Each episode includes an appearance by a celebrity, live performances and 'Mickey's Musical Moment,' which shows the singer's life and rise to stardom.

It's a welcome return for the seasoned performer, who was left paralyzed following a devastating accident in 2009 while moving furniture. While originally unsure if he would ever walk again, much less work, Gilley is also back on the road for his first tour since the accident.

"For a long time I didn’t want to tour anymore," he admits to The Boot. "That’s the reason I went into the theater business. I’ve done the theater business, I’ve done the club business, I’ve done the restaurant business, and I told some people the other day, 'Look, I’m tired of all the business end of it. I just want to be in the singing business.' That’s where I’m at now."

The 78-year-old will perform in Texas Friday night (June 27). A list of all of his upcoming shows is available here.

'Gilley’s Place' airs on RFD-TV on Fridays at 6:30PM ET and Saturdays at 4:30AM ET.
