Meghan Linsey is heading to 'The Voice.' Formerly one-half of the duo Steel Magnolia and now an independent country artist, Linsey shared the news on her Facebook page.

Late last year, Linsey was hinting that she had big plans for 2015, but she remained silent on the details until now.

“I have a big secret I can’t tell you,” she revealed to The Boot. “I am working on stuff … it’s just stuff that I can’t announce yet.”

The songstress launched a PledgeMusic campaign in 2014 to work on her debut album as a solo artist.

“I’m an indie artist now, and I just thought it was a really good way to … raise money to make the EP, and then also be able to engage the fans,” she explains. “It allowed me to kind of gauge where I’m at as a solo artist and realize that the fans are still with me, which has been really great.”

Linsey isn't the only well-known artist who has reached out to reality TV to help further her career. Julie Roberts auditioned for Season 4 of 'The Voice' in 2013 but failed to get a judge's chair to turn around. More recently, Emily West was the runner-up on Season 9 of 'America's Got Talent.'

The Louisiana native has released a video for 'Love Never Sleeps,' from her five-song, self-titled EP. Download the entire project here.

This season's 'The Voice' judges are Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera. The show will premiere on Feb. 23 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
