Martina McBride is following in the footsteps of two of her fellow country music stars. The singer has announced that, like Willie Nelson and Trisha Yearwood, she has canceled an upcoming appearance at SeaWorld.

Like the others, McBride cites the awareness of the poor way animals are treated at the park -- which came to light after the documentary, 'Blackfish,' was released earlier this year -- as her reason.

"I’ve decided that given all the issues that have been aired recently, the time isn’t right for me to play at Seaworld," she shares on her Facebook page. "I have cancelled my scheduled performance at the Bands, Blues & BBQ event in March 2014."

The Barenaked Ladies, who were also scheduled to appear, have also bowed out of their performance date. Scotty McCreery and Justin Moore were also once booked for the same series, which runs from Feb. 1 to March 14, 2014, but the schedule has since been removed from SeaWorld's website.

McBride will still have plenty to keep her busy. She recently announced she will release an album of cover songs, 'Everlasting,' on her own label. The new record will be available on March 4, 2014, and feature some of her favorite songs, including 'Do Right Woman, Do Right Man' and 'What Becomes of the Broken Hearted.'
