Singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham is premiering the music video for her song "All at Once" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch.

In the intimate "All at Once" music video, it's just Cunningham and her guitar in the studio. With a moody groove, punchy finger-picking, and Cunningham's powerful vocals, the song is given a little bit of extra "oomph" thanks to Cunningham's quiet intensity. There's also a bit of a spiritual vibe, inspired by Cunningham's origins in her church's band.

The 21-year-old Cunningham released her debut EP, Love, Lose, Remember, in 2017, and has since followed that with two singles: "Beauty Into Cliches" and a cover of Paul Simon's "So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright." "All at Once" is her latest release, in preparation of a forthcoming full-length debut that is currently in the works.

A multi-instrumentalist and Orange County, Calif., native, Cunningham began playing guitar at the age of seven, inspired by her father. She describes her songwriting style as influenced by the greats: Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan.

“When I turned 15 or 16, I realized I wanted to be a good songwriter. It’d always been a hobby before, but around then, I realized I wanted to make it a daily practice," Cunningham says. "Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan whipped me into shape -- woke me up. I thought if I could capture some of their same spirit ever in my life, I’d have to work hard and every day.”

Throughout the fall, Cunningham will tour the country with the Punch Brothers as she prepares to release her first album on Verve Forecast Records. Visit MadisonCunningham.com for more information.
