Luke Bryan required stitches after falling off the stage at a concert in North Carolina Thursday night  (May 29).

The singer was performing in Charlotte as part of his That's My Kind of Night Tour when the incident took place. He and his band were playing a cover of the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis song 'Can't Hold Us,' and the singer apparently didn't realize he was at the edge of the stage when he stepped forward, causing him to plunge into the pit. Security rushed in to help the superstar back to the edge of the stage, where he finished the song seated.

Bryan pointed out that this was actually his second stage fall in North Carolina on this tour. He also took a spill in Greensboro in February.

"Check this out . . . the last time I was in North Carolina, I busted my ass onstage," he says in the video above.

Though the fall looked particularly nasty, Bryan later let his fans know that he was okay via social media.

The singer is scheduled to perform in Bristow, Va. Friday night (May 30).
