Luke Bryan Plans Second Crash My Playa Concert Vacation
“When anyone asks about the inaugural Crash My Playa, I say, ‘It was like a dream come true,’” says Dan Berkowitz, founder and CEO of CID Entertainment and the organizer of Crash My Playa. “It was not just my dream, it was all of our collective dreams coming true — the people here at CID Presents, the artists, their teams and, most importantly, our guests, the fans. We’re excited to build off the magic of Crash My Playa and work hard to make the second year even more special with exciting treats and surprises that will redefine the way you imagine this once-in-a-lifetime ultimate live music event.”
The all-inclusive concert will be held Jan. 22-26 at the Barceló Riviera Maya, a resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning on April 9 at the Crash My Playa website.
Last year's event included appearances by Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell, Kelleigh Bannen, Dustin Lynch, Eric Paslay, DJ Rock and Chris Stapleton. There is no word yet who will join Bryan for the 2016 event.
Bryan wrapped up his seven-year run of Spring Break concerts in Panama City, Fla., earlier this month. The two-day event coincided with his final Spring Break-themed album, Spring Break ... Checkin' Out, which debuted at No. 1.
“My fans have been so wonderful to embrace these special Spring Break albums over the last seven years,” Bryan says. “We’ve created a lot of amazing memories writing these songs and performing them at the beach shows in Florida. Those concerts are among the most enjoyable of my career!”
The "I See You" singer will begin his 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour in early May. Before that, though, he'll head to Texas to co-host the 50th ACM Awards, along with good friend Blake Shelton, on April 19. Bryan is nominated for four trophies, including the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year.
