The upcoming 2014 Billboard Music Awards just got some more country star power. Luke Bryan has been added to the list of performers for the live televised event, which will take place on May 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The 'Play It Again' singer joins an eclectic list of artists performing that night, including Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, John Legend and Jason Derulo. Bryan will also have multiple other chances to take the stage during the broadcast. He is nominated for seven awards in six categories, including for the all-genre Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, and the prestigious Milestone Award.

The Georgia native has amassed numerous major awards since his debut album, 'I'll Stay Me,' was released in 2007, including taking home the ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year in 2013. But while he is thrilled with his success and accolades, he admits he's still having a hard time soaking it all in.

“It’s all a dream,” he admits. “All I ever wanted to be is a big ol’ country star and I cannot believe it’s happened. It’s the time of my life and I’m loving every day.”

Other country artists nominated for a Billboard Music Award include Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson. See a full list of nominees here.

The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will air live on Sunday, May 18 at 8PM ET on ABC.
