Luke Bryan Wins ACM Award for Top New Artist
Luke Bryan is the ACM's Top New Artist!
"Thank you fans! It's impossible for a human to shake more than I am right now," a beaming Luke said upon accepting the award. "Thank you God for making this happen for me. Thank you to my beautiful wife, Caroline. I love you ... This means the world to me. I want to thank my family, my mama and my daddy. My hometown, Leesburg, Ga. I love you. I want to thank my brother up in Heaven." (Luke's older brother was killed in a car accident the same day Luke had originally planned to move to Nashville, several years ago.)
Luke was joined in the category by duo Joey + Rory and Gloriana. All three Top New Artist nominees performed shortened versions of their biggest hits. This is Luke's first ACM nomination and win.
