Little Big Town will have to wait just a bit longer to return to the road after member Jimi Westbrook's vocal cord surgery.

In a video posted to their Facebook page on Sunday (July 26), the band reveals that Westbrook "needs a little bit more time to heal up so he'll be 100 percent and [can] get back on the road."

LBT were scheduled to resume their 2015 Pain Killer Tour on July 31, with a show at the Delaware State Fair, but it has been canceled. The rest of their concerts through mid-August have also been canceled, with the exception of an Aug. 1 show in St. Leonard, Md., which has been moved to Sept. 25, and an Aug. 14 show at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, N.Y., which has been postponed to a to-be-determined date.

"It is with deep regret that we must cancel an additional three weeks of shows in August due to doctors' orders for Jimi to rest and recuperate his voice," Little Big Town write in a statement on their website. "We want to come back on the road to you guys at 110 percent, and this additional time will make sure that happens!

"Thanks again for all of your support during this time, and for your love, patience and excitement for us to come back!" they continue. "We can’t wait to see all of you."

The country quartet now plans to begin touring again on Aug. 22, with a show at the Eastbound Hoedown Music Festival in Avondale, Newfoundland, Canada, according to their website.

"We are so sad that we have missed y'all this summer. You don't know how hard it's been," Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman says in the Facebook video. "We've wanted to see your faces, we've wanted to hear your voices, and we're very, very sorry that we haven't been out there."

Little Big Town originally canceled all tour dates from mid-June through the end of July in order to let Westbrook heal after having a polyp removed from his vocal cords, as per his doctor's orders.

“It breaks our hearts to let you guys down, but Jimi’s health is the most important thing, and he is expected to make a full recovery with rest and treatment,” the band said at the time. “We will keep everyone updated on Jimi’s progress. Thanks for your understanding and support.”

In mid-July, Schlapman and Phillip Sweet explained that Westbrook's healing process was going well, and that he'd been finding ways to communicate without speaking. Sweet also said that, although fans may be disappointed that they aren't getting to see the band live this summer, "For the long term of Little Big Town, this is the best thing.”

[EDITOR'S NOTE: The original version of this story incorrectly reported that all of Little Big Town's shows through the end of August were being canceled. We have corrected the story to note that only a few weeks' worth of shows are being canceled or postponed.]
