Brand-new country music group Levon, made up of Michael Hall, Jake Singleton and Nick Scallorn, have debuted a tune that is bound to earn them plenty of fans.

"Ms. Marianne," written by Hall, producer Jamie Houston and James Dean Hicks, is the perfect uptempo song to show off the trio's unique harmonies and creative songwriting.

With lines like, "She walked in with her fans, they were made celebrating / 20 years of marriage to an ex she called Satan / So I poured her a shot, and I walked it across that floor / And the ladies all roared," the tune has already helped Levon garner attention from several high-profile artists. The trio got the chance of a lifetime earlier this month when they scored an opening slot for Florida Georgia Line at the Faster Horses Festival.

"Opening for a band that's built that much of a fan base for themselves is an honor," Singleton tells The Boot. "Florida Georgia Line certainly know who they are, and that's something we want people to notice about us."

Adds Scallorn, "Levon’s music comes from an interestingly fresh standpoint. I feel like being a part of a show with FGL shows just how diverse country music has become, and possibly where it is going in the future.”

Levon derived their name from the Band's Levon Helm and Elton John’s tribute song, "Levon," and they are hard at work on their debut album.

"We'd love to be known as three young men with old-school influences, whose harmonies could freshen expired milk," Hall says.

The guys, who also opened for Chase Rice at Summerfest earlier this year, are lining themselves up with some of the best of the best as they perfect their debut project.

“We are working with people we eventually want to be like,” Hall says. “We’re incredibly lucky and on an amazing journey -- starting with this summer!”

Houston, whose lengthy list of credits includes Donna SummerMacy Gray, CeCe Winans and Jon McLaughlin, among others, was thrilled to get the chance to produce and develop Levon.

"Finding guys who are this talented and unique sounding is extremely rare," he notes. "I feel like I would have been an idiot not to jump in with both feet."

Levon are set to perform on Friday (July 31) at the Watershed Festival, sharing the stage with an all-star list of acts including Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett. Find updates and tour dates on their Facebook page.
