Kris Kristofferson, who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004, will be celebrated once again when Light In The Attic Records releases 'Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends: The Publishing Demos 1968-72,' a collection of his early demos that laid the groundwork for what would be some of the most recognizable songs ever written and recorded, including Janis Joplin's classic hit, 'Me and Bobby McGee.'

Light In The Attic began this ambitious project five years ago, with the blessing of the legendary singer-songwriter, to compile a selection of his demos from the late 1960s and early '70s including 'Me and Bobby McGee,' 'Just the Other Side of Nowhere,' 'Come Sundown' and 'Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends.' The recordings found on this compilation of previously unreleased material include early versions of songs that would become standards of his impressive catalog.

'Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends: The Publishing Demos 1968-72' features comprehensive liner notes by author/musician Michael Simmons, including interviews with Kris, the musicians, and other related participants from these landmark sessions. Full lyrics are presented in an extensive 60-page full color booklet, also featuring unseen photos and archival material plus an audio soundtrack (LP/CD/digital formats). Kris will make 31 appearances this summer and fall taking his solo acoustic show on the road beginning June 10 in Kettering, Ohio and winding down on Nov. 14 in Newport News, Va. The Rhodes Scholar will feature many of the hits from the publishing demos and songs from his more recent albums.
