Kix Brooks Launches New Radio Gig, ‘Just for Kix’
The syndicated 'American Country Countdown' weekend radio program just got a little more fan friendly. Host Kix Brooks has announced a new weekday radio segment, appropriately titled 'Just for Kix.' Beginning Mar. 1, listeners will have the opportunity to submit questions to the hat-wearing half of Brooks & Dunn, who will then answer them on-air in the 60-second feature.
"Each weekend on the countdown, we try to give our fans the latest news on the artists topping the charts as well as a fun, behind-the-scenes look at the world of country music," Kix says. "With our new weekday feature, I'll be answering questions taken directly from acctop40.com or the individual station sites. This will be a great way to provide our audience with even more background on what makes the business of country music tick!"
Fans can expect to have a variety of topics covered early on in the 'Just for Kix' airings, including how artists choose set lists for their shows, how musicians are paid for music downloads, how opening acts are chosen for concert tours, and how Nashville became the capital for country music.
