The Boot rounds up today's (Jan. 23) country music news headlines from around the web.

The first song from Kenny Chesney's upcoming album will be released at midnight on Jan. 31. "Pirate Flag," written by David Lee Murphy and Ross Copperman, is an anthem that rebels against the mundane "9-to-5." "No matter how you live, there is that part of you that yearns to be free, to say, 'What the hell ...' and just do what you want to do! That's what this song is all about," says Kenny. "You can just say, "Enough,' even if it's only in your mind, while you're watching your boss' mouth move and are dreaming of whatever gets you off ... You can fly your pirate flag in your head, tack it up behind your computer at work, tattoo it under your skin – and no one has to know."

Congrats to triple Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes, whose song "Wanted" has been certified double platinum, signifying more than 2 million in sales! "The song has given me a false sense of confidence," Hunter, who co-wrote "Wanted" with Troy Verges, tells The Boot with a laugh. "I'm so awkward and weird and shy and quiet. I don't say these things very well -- that's why I put them in a song. I'm learning that I should write more songs for girls, because apparently that's way better than me talking!"

Jana Kramer has released a photo of her custom-made, five-carat, round-cut engagement ring from fiancé Brantley Gilbert. The "More Than Miles" singer worked with a Nashville jeweler to design the rock, which is set in white gold with a diamond encrusted band. "I'm in love with it," Jana tells People magazine. "I can't stop looking at it!" See the ring here. [People]

You can buy a truck that Kellie Pickler has been driving around for the past few months, and help a great cause at the same time. Ram Truck's "Road to the Ram Jam" program is hosting five charity auctions, selling 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn trucks that were recently leased by Kellie, Brantley Gilbert, Zac Brown Band, Easton Corbin and Billy Currington. Each artist has chosen a charity to benefit from the sale, with Kellie choosing the USO Warrior and Family Care program. Place your bids here for Kellie's truck, and look out for future auctions of the other artists' trucks.
