Kenny Chesney Adds Louisville Date to 2016 Spread the Love Tour

An additional stadium date for Kenny Chesney's 2016 Spread the Love Tour has been announced: Louisville, Ky.

Chesney has added the city's Papa John's Cardinal Stadium to his Summer 2016 trek, which will also feature tourmates Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion. The quartet of country acts will play Louisville on May 28.

“You don’t wanna overdo the stadium thing to where it’s not special. But being outside in Louisville is one of those places where the music hits the night, and it’s not the same as being inside," Chesney says in a press release. "As we’re looking at the routings and our history, I’m really glad we’re gonna be playing Cardinal Stadium ‘cause as great as the Yum! Center was, I think we’re gonna top that show!”

The 2016 Spread the Love Tour is set to kick off on April 23 at the Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala., as part of the inaugural Music & Miracles Superfest. A total of 12 stadium dates have been announced so far, and more shows -- in stadiums and otherwise -- will be added to the tour. The singer is also set to headline one night of the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival, which will take place in June in Hunter, N.Y.
