Everybody, raise a glass. Kenny Chesney is making the holidays very merry for country fans with a new Christmas single, 'Christmas in Blue Chair Bay.'

The song is his first seasonal tune since 2003's 'All I Want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan,' and the single is a laid-back, simple, acoustic treat with a Calypso feel -- not surprising, since the singer has a love affair with the islands. With warm, inviting lyrics like, “Everybody raise a glass with me right now / To all of those up in the snow from all of us down South / ‘Tis the season for believing and faith and family / I wish you were here with me,” the song evokes the type of cheer that only the holidays (plus some rum!) can bring.

Chesney's intent in releasing a new Christmas single is celebratory, to say the least.

"It seems like there are few times of the year when you can really unplug, really just be in the moment with your family and your friends -- and celebrate how great life is," he says. “Over the last 10 years, I've really come to appreciate that time off and what those connections mean, and I wanted to share that feeling with my friends through music."

'Christmas in Blue Chair Bay' was produced with Buddy Cannon.

"I was in the mood, especially with the time I’ve been spending in Barbados with my rum, to try and distill how slow and sweet the holidays in the islands are when we can get there," Chesney adds.

The 'American Kids' hitmaker is certainly making fans happy this holiday season. In addition to this new holiday single, Chesney also has big tour plans for 2015, and he's rounding up a slew of country superstars for the 55-date trek.

'Christmas in Blue Chair Bay' is available for download now on iTunes and Amazon.
