Kelsea Ballerini is making sure her first-ever headlining tour is one to remember. The 2016 The First Time Tour will kick off on Oct. 21 in Houston, Texas, and Ballerini says that although her trek will be hitting smaller venues, that won't stop her from pulling out all the stops.

"I've always loved bells and whistles and production, and so even though it's in smaller venues, we really want to start incorporating that early," the "Peter Pan" singer tells The Boot, adding that she always has a few fun tricks up her sleeves: "Fun lights, maybe some confetti, I don't know -- I'm excited!"

Ballerini seems to get a kick out of surprising her fans during her shows: She's been known to perform Backstreet Boys songs and other covers, as fans found out during her time opening for Rascal Flatts this summer. And considering that she recently collaborated with Jason Aldean on a track for his new album, They Don't Know, and can sing a stunning rendition of Tim McGraw‘s "Humble and Kind," the 22-year-old will have plenty of material to draw from during The First Time Tour.

Ballerini's headlining tour will kick off just after she wraps up her time on the road with the Flatts' Rhythm & Roots Tour. Fans can get more info and purchase tickets on her official website.
