Keith Urban is nominated for five CMA Awards at Wednesday night's (Nov. 8) ceremony: Male Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year (as both artist and producer), Music Video of the Year and the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. It's a diverse group of categories to be nominated in, so The Boot asked Urban if there's one that means more to him than the others. The Aussie says that, for him, it really is enough just to be nominated.

"They all mean something different. But I think, collectively, just to be nominated, is pretty bada-- -- it really is. That’s incredible," Urban shared with The Boot and other reporters. "I always said, but it’s true: I just love making music. I love making records. I love touring. I’d be doing it no matter what happened. So when it happens with that kind of acknowledgement, it’s a beautiful feeling."

Urban, who is also performing during the 2017 CMA Awards live broadcast, calls the honor of being asked to take the stage "extraordinary."

"It’s great," gushes Urban. "I remember opening with Brad Paisley one year, and the curtain’s about to open, and I said to him, ‘We’re opening the CMAs,’ and high-fiving each other. [It's important] just to not let that moment be lost on us. This is 51 years of the CMAs."

The 2017 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC at 8PM ET; the ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Paisley and Underwood will host the ceremony for the 10th year in a row.
