Kacey Musgraves Joining Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour

Kacey Musgraves is joining Katy Perry on the North American leg of her Prismatic World Tour.

"Ima big ol' @katyperry fan and I CANT WAIT to join her on her #PrismaticWorldTour this summer in the US!!" the singer tweeted. "More deets very soon!!"

The 'Follow Your Arrow' singer will hit the road with Perry in August for a series of shows in the Midwest, as well as Canada. California-based indie pop duo Capital Cities will join the pop star in July on the East Coast, while Canadian duo Tegan & Sara will join her in September out West.

"I'm so excited that I got to hand-select some of my favorite artists to join me on this journey," Perry says in a press release. "I know you'll love Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves and Tegan & Sara as much as I do."

The two singers are friends on and off the road, and spent time over the holidays working on new tunes. “Writing with her was amazing,” Musgraves tells Rolling Stone. “She’s undeniably a huge pop star, but there’s incredible substance and wit there, too.”

Musgraves will begin her run with Perry on Aug. 10 in Grand Rapids, Mich. She's currently on the road with Lady Antebellum, serving as the opening act on their Take Me Downtown Tour. See a list of all of her upcoming shows here.
