It's no secret that Justin Moore despises traveling by airplane. "I'm so scared of flying ... I hate it," Justin tells The Boot with a shake of his head. "Everybody always says, 'Oh, once you do it more ...' No! I've probably flown 200 times in the past year. No! It ain't natural!"

Of course it doesn't help his situation much when there are airplane malfunctions taking place. After a recent layover in Charlotte, N.C., the 'Small Town U.S.A.' singer was set for his short flight to Winston-Salem, N.C., when the plane had to turn back to the terminal due to a broken wing.

"It's always something with me and flying," Justin says. "I probably make it worse than it actually is. We got on the runway, and they turned around. I'm like, 'Well, something's wrong ... as usual!' They said, 'The wing did something we didn't tell it to do.' The dang wing did something you didn't tell it to do?! Really? The wing! Of all things ... the wing!?"

After waiting for the wing to get checked out, the singer made the decision to bail and rent a car to get to Winston-Salem. "Who knows how long it would have taken to fix it, but I went up and told the guy, 'I'm out of here, brother! I'm gone!'" Justin says. "It wasn't but an hour-and-10-minute drive [to Winston-Salem]."

Justin made it to his gig safe and sound, but the latest fiasco didn't help his feelings toward flying. Justin hits the road this weekend for shows in Arkansas and Texas. To see where he will be performing, click here.

Justin's latest single, 'If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away,' recently debuted on Billboard's country singles chart in the Top 40. The song, which was penned and recorded by Rhett Akins back in 2007, is the first single from Justin's forthcoming album to be released later this year.
