Justin Moore Keeps Fans Close

Justin Moore may be thrilled about his rapidly growing popularity, but it comes with one big downside: it gives him less time with fans. Juggling recording, performing and all the other parts of the music business has kept Justin busier than he ever thought he'd be.

"I would love to have more time with my fans after the shows but we have to load gear and get to the next show at a specific time," Justin tells The Boot. "There is just no time sometimes."

Since staying in touch with fans is an important part of Justin's life, he's found a way to get around the demands of his schedule. "I try to do as much as I can," he says. "I am on Twitter and MySpace and I respond to folks a lot of the time. If I see somebody is coming to a show, I'll set up a meet-and-greet. It's simple things like that that folks appreciate."

Although, he isn't superman: despite what people may think. "Nobody can really prepare you for it," Justin says. "I am a country music fan first and foremost. We [musicians] are not born to do this. We are normal people with really cool jobs. The most common thing that's said to me in meet-and-greets is 'You seem really normal!' I am. I grew up in a town in Arkansas with 300 people."

The fact that Justin is a "regular guy" is why 'If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away,' the first single from his upcoming single 'Outlaws Like Me,' affected him so strongly the first time he heard it.

"I never lost anyone until a few years ago and then it was bam, bam, bam," he says of those he lost including his beloved grandfather. "The first time I heard ['If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away'] I was just taken aback by how real the lyrics were and how personal it was to me. It's personal to a whole lot of people; I can't wait to continue to share it across the U.S. when I'm on tour."
