Joy Styles is getting ready for the release of her debut album, and she's letting readers of The Boot see the video for the lead-off single first.

The album's first single, 'Fast,' is being released Tuesday (Oct. 22) via 764 Records, an imprint of Red River Entertainment. The singer will drop her full-length debut album in February or March, and 'Fast' is a perfect vehicle to introduce country fans to her impeccable vocal style and seasoned screen presence, which are the product of a unique mix of experiences.

The Pennsylvania native's impressive background includes time in New York, where she appeared in off-Broadway shows, television and film. She then studied in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts before returning to NYC to work with such notables as Leslie Uggums and Phylicia Rashad, but after a trip to Nashville during Fan Fair, she packed her bags and made the commitment to move to Music City and pursue country music full-time.

“Red River Entertainment/764 Records has had its eye on Joy for a while,” says the label’s Chuck Rhodes. “We pride ourselves on signing and developing artists that have staying power and with ‘Fast,’ we see a long, unique career ahead for Joy.”

Produced by Pat and Mike Severs, 'Fast' was recorded in Nashville. The song “reflects the new space I’m in. Carefree, fun and loving life,” Styles explains. “It’s also the culmination of a lot of hard work.”
