Ghosts were the topic of conversation when Joe Nichols called in to Jeff Foxworthy's country countdown radio show recently.

"One night I had a strange experience," Joe revealed. "My wife and I were sleeping, it was about five o'clock in the morning. All of a sudden the iPod dock – it just comes on, and this song starts. Celine Dion starts singing, and it's real loud. It's a song called 'I'm Your Angel.' It's just a strange deal to wake up to a Celine Dion song that says, 'No mountain's too high, I'm right here watching over you, I'm your angel.' It freaked us out a little bit and made us feel good at the same time. By the way, we never listened to Celine Deon on the iPod, so it's a strange deal.

"I don't know if it (was) a ghost. I believe in angels. I believe in God. I believe there's things all around us that make you do good things and some that make you do bad things."

"You kind of gave me chicken skin a little bit," Jeff laughed. "I'm with you, I think it's an angel because you got the 'I'm Your Angel' song. Now if it had been playing 'Highway to Hell,' it may have been a totally different story!"

Joe's new album, 'Old Things New,' hits stores today (Oct. 26).
