Jo Dee Messina has released a new acoustic single, "Will You Love Me," as part of the Live From Blackbird series.

Press play on the video above to see Messina perform the brand-new track at Nashville’s Blackbird Studio. Messina is accompanied by a handful of people, who are playing instruments in the background, in the very casual setting. The singer herself is standing at the forefront with a standing microphone, allowing her to use her hands and body movements to emphasize the song's lyrics; toward the end of the song, Messina hits high notes and ramps up the emotion.

"The music industry is constantly changing, and I want to make sure that I change right alongside and keep up, especially as an independent artist," Messina says in a press release. "... I am incredibly excited ... to finally get an acoustic version of this song out there!"

During her Live From Blackbird session, the country singer also sang her hits "Bring on the Rain," "Heads Carolina, Tails California” and “Lesson in Leavin’.” All of the songs are available on YouTube.

Messina is currently on the road supporting her newest recordMe, released in March of 2014; she raised more than $100,000 through a Kickstarter campaign to record the project and was able to release it independently after leaving Curb Records in December of 2012. A complete list of tour dates is available on her website.

This acoustic version of "Will You Love Me" is available for download on iTunes.
