Jewel Joins Nashville Symphony for Career-Spanning Shows
ACA Female Artist of the Year nominee Jewel will lend her exquisite voice to the Nashville Symphony, November 11-13 at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena, for the symphony's Bank of America Pops Series. According to Nashville's Tennessean newspaper, the singer-songwriter will be thumbing through the multiple genres of her career, with symphony-backed performances that span from her 1995 breakthrough album, 'Pieces of You,' to her latest country CD, 'Sweet and Wild.'
The Nashville Symphony will offer shuttle service for a round-trip price of $10, between Franklin and Belle Meade to the venue. Tickets range from $19 - $104, and are available at the Nashville Symphony's website, or by calling 615-687-6400.
Jewel's current single is 'Ten.' "I wrote it after my husband and I got in a big fight," she tells The Boot. "You have to calm down before you cross that line and say things you can't take back ... So the next day I sat down to write and came up with this theme of counting to ten and the process of calming down and ultimately counting the ways that you value the person."
