Jerrod NeimannJerrod Niemann will make his debut on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (April 10), the completion of a list of the top three places he's always wanted to play. The first two -- the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, Calif. -- have already been checked off the singer's wish list.

"I've always been a huge fan of the venues that have housed country music since the beginning, and I've been a big fan of the Louisiana Hayride that was in Shreveport," says Jerrod. "Elvis [Presley] started [there] and Faron Young ... and the list goes on. And then out on the West Coast, in Bakersfield, we have the Crystal Palace, with Buck Owens and that historical value, but there's always [been] something about the Opry that's even more special and spiritual, clear back when it was at the Ryman Auditorium to now."

The singer-songwriter, who also takes credit for co-writing Garth Brooks' 'Good Ride Cowboy,' is a bit overwhelmed about stepping on the revered stage where so many have stood before. "It's just an amazing thought to stand in that circle, like so many great country music legends have," says Jerrod. "So I really try not to think about it too much. That way I won't be nervous until after I play."

Jerrod is currently scaling the country charts with his new single, 'Lover, Lover.' It's the first release from his forthcoming album, due out this summer.
