Jerrod Niemann is beginning to get recognized more and more, and sometimes fans catch him at some inopportune moments. One such case happened recently, when he was on an airplane catching some shut-eye, and it was caught on-camera.

"The only people that would recognize me would be security guards at airports because they'd see your name," jokes Jerrod. "But I was asleep on a plane the other day, and there was a flash in my face! I woke up and said, 'Damn! Am I losing my mind or did someone not just take a picture right in my face?' So, I sat there and I saw this little girl peek over the chair in front of me and then she sat right back down, and then I see her mom's camera kind of come up and [take a photo]. And now you've got to think about how silly you look sleeping up against the window. But really to be honest, if it's not somewhere where we're playing, no one could care less."

Readers of The Boot certainly care, as they recently chose him as one of the Hottest Bachelors in Country Music, which a baffled Jerrod finds hilarious, because he says he was never one of the popular guys in school. "I definitely was never the cool, hot dude or anything like that," the Kansas native tells The Boot. "I was always the class clown that the teachers hated."

Jerrod, who recently topped the country charts with 'Lover, Lover,' is certainly sending hearts racing -- and, turning the tables, the newly-minted country hunk explains what he finds "hot" in a woman. "My favorite thing is personality, for sure, a sense of humor, I should say, because sometimes personalities can clash ... But I just like people that are kind and have a good sense of humor to start with ... that's what lasts."

Unfortunately, with his newfound success, Jerrod does not have much time to search for his sweet and funny soul mate. "Right now, I'm definitely thankful for where my career is," he states. "And everybody that I'm involved with career-wise, of course, is working really hard and I don't want to let any of them down. We've just worked really hard, so I'm just focusing on that [right now]."

Jerrod is planning on working even harder in the months to follow. He is getting ready to head out on the road with Gary Allan and Randy Houser on the next leg of the Get Off On the Pain tour, kicking off in Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 16, and he is also going to hit the airwaves next month with his new single, 'What Do You Want' from his 'Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury' album.
