Jason Michael Carroll will be in Chicago on Tuesday (May 26) as the featured guest at the Chicago Cubs' Country Music Night. Jason will perform before the start of the game at Wrigley Field, after which he'll throw out the first pitch. He's also scheduled to lead the crowd in 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' and to conduct the seventh-inning stretch from the announcer's box.

No word on whether any of his family will be joining him, but the singer says he appreciates the time he gets to spend with his kids -- girls Savanna and Stori, and boys J.W. and Gavin -- especially when he's home during the week and can take them to school. While some of their fellow students recognize Jason as the celebrity he is, others identify him in a different way.

"When I take my kids to school and walk in the doors some kids yell, 'Hey, Jason Michael Carroll,' but then the best recognition is when someone will walk up and say, 'Hey, Gavin's dad' or 'Hey, Savanna's dad,' or 'Hey, Stori's dad,' says the singer.

The North Carolina native admits he loves it most when he's addressed in that way, adding, "I mean, it's just one of the coolest things ever because right now, my kids think it's cool. But in a few years, they're gonna be like, 'Dad, can you wait in the car?' But right now, I'm enjoyin' the fact that they like me bein' around."
