Could a new Jason Isbell album be imminent? A Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 6) post on social media certainly hints at it.

Around 2PM ET on Tuesday, Isbell shared a short, 30-second, black-and-white video clip to his social media pages. The footage, set to a grand, orchestral-sounding wall of guitars, organ and reverb, shows the singer-songwriter and his band in the studio -- and abruptly ends as the screen cuts to black.

The video, which readers can watch above, is captioned simply "Stay tuned..." and links to Isbell's official website. The landing page includes a spot to sign up for email alerts for when the artist's big news -- whatever it may be -- is announced.

Isbell released his most recent new album, Something More Than Freein July of 2015. The record, Isbell's fifth solo project, won both honors at both the Americana Music Awards and the Grammy Awards; it also set the record for the most time spent at No. 1 on the Americana Radio Airplay chart.

Isbell has a handful of tour dates currently scheduled throughout early 2017. He recently reunited with his former band, the Drive-By Truckers, onstage in Nashville, to perform the song "Heathens."
