Jason Aldean may not have received any CMA Award nominations this year, but he will still close out 2014 with a huge honor. The singer has been announced as one of the 2014 CMT Artists of the Year, along with Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban.

The honor goes to artists who "have illustrated their impact in country music through massive radio airplay," according to CMT. They have each also sold out concert tours and collectively garnered hundreds of millions of streams through their videos.

"Country music has never been bigger and these five are its biggest stars of 2014,'' John Hamlin, CMT's Senior Vice President of Music Events and Talent, says. "We do everything we can do to make sure this is the party of the year for them. And rightfully so. They've earned it."

Aldean has been named a CMT Artist of the Year every since its inception in 2010. Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and Lambert have also been named a CMT Artist of the Year in previous years. This is the first year Urban has received the honor.

A special ceremony celebrating the 2014 CMT Artists of the Year will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 8PM ET on CMT. The evening will include performances by all of the Artists of the Year, as well as several of country music's biggest stars, who will pay tribute to their success.
