Jason Aldean has been notoriously tight-lipped about his divorce from his wife, Jessica, until now. The singer will open about their split for 'In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Countdown to the CMA Awards,' which will air on Nov. 5, one day before the CMA Awards.

The marital troubles between the Georgia native and his wife surfaced when pictures of him kissing former 'American Idol' contestant Brittany Kerr in a bar last October were splashed all over the tabloids. At the time, Aldean admitted he "screwed up" and "acted inappropriately."

For a while, it seemed his marriage to his high school sweetheart would withstand his indiscretion. The two presented a united front on 'CBS This Morning' one month later, saying they were moving forward.

“I think we’re fine,” he said at the time. “Any time you go through anything like that, it’s tough. We’ve been together for a long time, and been through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private, we didn’t have the luxury of doing that.”

Unfortunately, their united front didn't last, and in April, they filed divorce papers, citing irreconcilable differences. But while the father of two has remained adamantly quiet about his personal problems, he opens up to Roberts about his rapid rise to fame, the importance of his family, and how the headlines helped lead to the demise of his 12-year marriage.

The 'When She Says Baby' singer isn't the only one who is talking to the veteran TV host. Luke Bryan, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, and the cast of the hit TV show 'Nashville' all sit down for a heart-to-heart chat with Roberts.

Aldean is nominated for three CMA awards, including one for the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. The 47th annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena at 8PM ET on ABC on Nov. 6.
