Singer-songwriter Jake Etheridge is exclusively premiering a new song, "To Me," with The Boot.

Etheridge, now based in Nashville, is likely to capture hearts with this ultra-romantic song. "To Me" has the innocence of young love set to an acoustic, folk-y backdrop, and the result is, in one word, lovely.

"You're like a wild wildflower / You are my kiss upon the breeze / Wanna hold your hand forever / Oh, dance right here with me," Etheridge sings. "You are my bright star shining / You're the song I gotta sing / You're my one and only / I think you're meant for me."

Etheridge grew up in South Carolina in a family of musicians. He played and performed with his family starting at a very young age and has evolved into a master storyteller; in fact, the artist reveals that his upcoming EP, on which "To Me" appears, "... forms a five-song story of a relationship."

"I didn’t really plan on a story-based EP," Etheridge adds, "but the songs that I ended up wanting to release the most sort of fell into it."

Etheridge cites Jason Isbell, John Denver, Ryan Adams and Gregory Alan Isakov as his current influences. His upcoming EP is set for release on May 20.
