Jack IngramJack Ingram has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of music's hottest acts including Sheryl Crow, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley and Gary Allan. The singer-songwriter says those experiences have allowed him to become a sponge -- absorbing all the knowledge his fellow musicians have to offer.

"Every time I try to take notice and notes of how they do it, why they're where they're at, and how they go about their business," Jack tells The Boot. "For a long time, for me, it was just music. Now, there's the other word attached to it: business. I try to take business notes."

One particular aspect Jack has taken note of lately is how artists move from show to show with enormous stage sets and equipment in tow.

"They travel in such a big circus," he says. "I want to know how they make it all fit with 18 trucks and seven buses. It's a lot to grasp. Those are the things I try to take away. It's putting it all together and going out onstage and understanding the pressure of such a big tour that they have on their shoulders."

Jack's latest album, 'Big Dreams and High Hopes,' is in stores now.
