After spending a whirlwind summer opening for Taylor Swift on the Speak Now world tour, Hunter Hayes will travel the nation headlining his own Most Wanted tour this fall. The tour coincides with the release of Hunter's self-titled debut album set for October 11.

Although the 19-year-old Louisiana native has been making music since the age of four, he explains that his nerves do, at times, take hold.

I get anxious for shows," Hunter tells The Boot. "There's so much running through my mind that I want to do. Eventually, I have to step on stage and enjoy it. Auto-pilot takes over. Every now and then, it's a little nerve-wracking."

Hunter wrote or co-wrote each track from the album, including the first single, 'Storm Warning.' He also played every instrument recorded on the disc, an impressive feat that he plans to limit to the studio while touring.

"When I go to see a show, I'm going for the song and to see somebody do their thing," he explains. "That's my time to lay back, relax, get on an acoustic or electric guitar and sing the songs. Live, it's about playing the songs, not having to play every instrument."

The Most Wanted tour kicks off October 8 in Beaumont, Texas. Click here for more dates and cities on the trek.
