“This is a pivotal year for Home Free,” bass singer Tim Foust says in a statement. “We’re coming into Country Evolution fresh on the heels of our Grand Ole Opry debut. We’ve gotten to collaborate with music icons such as the Oak Ridge Boys and Charlie Daniels. We’re excited to say the least.”
As Foust alludes to, Country Evolution will also feature a collaboration with Daniels, on the latter’s classic song, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
Home Free made their Opry debut in July, singing Tom Cochrane’s “Life Is a Highway” and Johnny Cash‘s “Ring of Fire,” earning both a standing ovation and an invitation to return by Opry Vice President and General Manager Pete Fisher
“We were overwhelmed by the crowd’s response during our debut at the Grand Ole Opry,” Foust recalls. “We were just honored to be among country royalty … We never imagined we would receive multiple standing ovations and get invited back on the spot!”
Country Evolution is Home Free’s third album on Columbia Records; it follows Crazy Life, their 2014 record, which reached the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart. The new disc will be available on Sept. 18 and is currently available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon.
